A Tradition of Innovation

Born of innovators from Analog Devices and Kurzweil, Source Audio makes pedals designed to inspire and enhance the creation of music.

Source Audio was founded in Woburn, Massachusetts in 2006 with the introduction of its first product, the Hot Hand Motion-Sensing Ring. Since that time, Source Audio has continued to evolve and carries on its tradition of innovation by providing a wide variety of inspiring sound creation tool for musicians of all genres. The company's delay, reverb, preamp, distortion, modulation, and equalization pedals have found their way onto the stages and recordings of David Gilmour, U2, David Bowie, John Mayer, Aerosmith, Phish, King Crimson, My Morning Jacket, The Cure, and Victor Wooten to name a few. Source Audio was also recognized through multiple product and innovation awards from Premier Guitar, Guitar Player, Sound On Sound, Guitar World, Bass Player, and Electronic Musician.

In 2026, Source Audio was acquired by Ernie Ball, bringing together two companies with a shared commitment to innovation and giving musicians better tools to create. Source Audio continues to operate under its own brand, now backed by Ernie Ball’s global reach, resources, and more than six decades of experience serving musicians around the world.
